This taiko drum has been crafted in a rustic style, embracing the natural history of the wood. The body is made from repurposed white oak bourbon barrel staves, with nail holes intentionally left unpatched and the surface left slightly imperfectly sanded to create an authentic, organic look.
The drum is topped with natural buffalo hide heads, giving it a deep, powerful resonance with a raw and earthy character.
Please note: there is a small crack in one of the staves (see photos). This does not affect the strength, sound, or playability of the drum, but I’ve priced it at a discount to reflect the imperfection.
A beautiful choice for performers or collectors who appreciate a drum with history, warmth, and character.
