Returns for Defective Items

We want you to feel confident in your purchase from Taiko Colorado. Because many of our items are handmade, custom-built, or one of a kind, we only accept returns for products that are defective due to a materials or workmanship issue.

What qualifies

A product may qualify for return if it arrives with a clear defect in materials or workmanship.

To be eligible, the issue must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

What does not qualify

We do not accept returns for:

  • custom or personalized items unless they are defective

  • normal variation in wood grain, color, figure, or other natural characteristics

  • wear from normal use

  • damage caused by misuse, improper handling, storage conditions, or modifications

  • shipping damage that is not reported promptly with photos

How to report an issue

If you believe your item has a defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include:

  • your order number

  • a brief description of the issue

  • clear photos of the item

  • photos of the packaging, if applicable

This helps us review the issue and respond as quickly as possible.

What happens next

Once we review the information, we will let you know whether the item qualifies under this policy. If it does, we may choose to:

  • repair the item

  • replace the item

  • accept a return and issue a refund

Return shipping

If a return is approved for a defective item, we will provide return instructions. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method after the item has been returned and inspected.
